Intro to summer vacation

This picture represents the start of summer for myself and Layla Grace. Our last day was the same, May 28th, which is one of the many reasons we love LRSH, they follow my schedule. Micah was out over a week prior to us. I got off earlier than normal and was able to pick her up from the carpool line where she greeted me with her hat and very own Candoo. The middle three class had a shared Candoo that took turns going home each weekend with a different child. The kids love him and he is also a model for practicing and learning good manners. She was beyond excited to have her own. Unfortunately she insisted he come to the aquarium the next day and I haven't seen him since. Which is why I usually stick to my very strict policy of nothing beloved leaves the house.

Cousins

Dan Michael, Layla Grace & Micah

My Boys

This makes me smile for so many reasons. One I'm blessed with a great husband, two a perfecltly healthy, handsome baby boy, and BIG smile because for the 9 years I've known Chris the majority of those have been spent in his wifebeater. For a little background information my parents have always been sticklers for undershirts in the winter. As you all know, for New Orleans, we really did have the coldest winter in our life time. So of course my my mom found little undershirts for both the kids. I did not know they made wife beaters that tiny and thought it was just too cute & funny. Also functional at the same time. Since the start of winter I kept saying to Chris " I have got to get a pic of you two in your "wife-beaters" .. so I finally got my wish. Thanks Chris for being a good sport.. love you.

Easter

Our Precious Family.. thank you Jesus. We are sooo blessed!

never underestimate a family pic with toddlers where everyone is happy & looking!!

Koolaid smile:) I LOVE THIS

Our Easter Weekends are always busy and fun. We had the Sens' Annual Good Friday Craw fish Boil which was filled with Easter fun for the kiddies. Thanks to all Layla & Micah's Great Aunts & Uncles who went out of their way to make it special. They were egg hunts followed by prizes, pinatas, easter baskets, easter cookies, cupcakes, and lots, and lots, of candy. Layla ate so much at the Holy Saturday party that she woke me up at 5 am Easter morning covered in throw up that looked like one big chocolate puddle. Luckily that's all it was so that we were all able to attend church as a family. Our Church had only had one service on the Northshore so that we could all celebrate Christs' Resurrection together. The music sang by our friends Sara and Lauren was amazing. Pastor Randy delivered a wonderful Sermon reflecting on ALL that Jesus did to save us. After church we went to MiMi and Papa's house where the kids got to swim for the first time this year. They were both much braver in the water than last year. Layla went all the way around the inside perimeter of the pool, like a little frog. And Micah showed no fear as he tried to mimic the big boys. He wanted nothing to do with his floaties and kept pulling them off. I'm going to have to get Papa to give them both swim lessons as soon as school lets out.

Dancing Girl

Layla has been very devoted to her dancing. She has not missed one class this school year. We go every Wednesday and she looks forward to it each time. It is so fun to watch her enjoy herself as she learns. Her review is nearing the corner. We just got the costumes which are darling. She will be in two numbers. One as a Frog and the other as an Angel.. how sweet.
