Petting Zoo Party

Micah's 1st party was definately a blast for the kiddies and even the adults. The Petting Zoo was adorable. They're was a large land tortoise, pygmy goats, sheep, pigs, bunnies, chickens, and more. Micah was a little unsure what to think of all the animals and just kind of sat back and took it all in. Layla Grace made sure she touched and held every animal she could. We didn't think she was going to let the bunny rabbit go. The BIGGEST surprise for all of us was what they pulled out of a small bag that resembled a baby carrier... a real, live baby Kangaroo. It was the cutest thing ever and was definately the hit of the party. Micah Stephen's First Birthday.. it is such a bitter sweet moment as a parent. In one sense it seems as though he's always been in our life because I can't imagine life without him, yet at the same time this first year has flown by. He is such a sweet boy... we love you so much our little Micah Man.. mommy & daddy.

1st Dance Recital

Layla Grace Danced her heart out. It was so adorable. She could not wait her turn to get on the stage. She may not have done the right move, but she shook her boodie the entire time and had a blast. Thank you MiMi for taking me to dancing every Thursday and for my first year of dance... love, Layla Grace.. your Princess.

Dancing Queen

Here is our little dancing queen. She loves it and we knew the costume would be a hit. She was able to wear it for the Dress Rehersal and then I had to hide it away. We have the Dance Rehersal tomorrow and her first review Thursday evening. Anyone who wishes to go please let me know. We have plenty of tickets and showtime is early and is suposed to only be an hour bc they split the review into 2 separate nights this year.

Now that I'm off of work:) I finally have a tad bit of time to update you all.

MY SWEET, SWEET BOY. All I can think at the moment is that I can not believe his 1st B-day is around the corner. I guess us mommies never can. I feel like I just had him. That to me is one of the toughest parts of being a parent, is watching how darn fast it goes. He is really coming into his own personality. It's pretty amazing to have watched him the past 11 months and see how complete opposites siblings can be. He is so calm and mild mannered that we thought Layla Grace would just rule him. However, he is getting louder with all his little sounds and babbles, no real words yet. Again, so opposite of Layla who was saying many words at this point. He has beaten her at WALKING though. Last Friday evening Chris & I left to go to dinner and were just up the street when Granny B called and said he took 6 steps. We keep telling Layla Grace she better watch out because he's not going to tollerate her beating up on him and taking his toys away much longer. Payback is near. Well, he has stollen our hearts. His grin and giggle just melt me. I love you my "little monkey".
